TGiF!

Praise the Lord! 

It was a great superb Friday indeed!! 

Finally tried The Sushi Bar and it was definitely worth the wait! 

OK la, we didn't wait for THAT long cos we came earlier to queue at 1215, but only managed to enter around 1pm.

Still quite a wait yeaaa... 

Anywayz, we tried so many different stuff and that's the beauty of having so many people at the table! 

Order more,  try more and share more!!! 

Some awesome things you should try, are the sirloin steak, scallop mentaiko, salmon aburi, handroll. 

ALL WERE GOOOOOOOD! 

sirloin was seared nicely,  sashimi was fresh,  juicy and thick, seaweed for handroll was crispy and need I say more??? 

So go try it! 

Warning: queue is at least 1 hour + so do reserve! They'll only hold your table to 10mins but they're nice to not throw u outta the queue even if your friends aren't here yet :) 

Give it 4 of 5 popcorns as service could have improved. 

They couldn't handle the crowd and got orders wrong more than once, so it could get quite irritating. But oh well,  let's all just enjoy the good food and be patient yeap!

Let's welcome contestant no. 7, July!

Oh, so the end of the half year mark has finally come. 

It's now the 7th month of the year,  the 7th month of 2014 and it's prolly abt 3more months before I turn 30!

Time really does fly and it seems like it flew faster this year. Is it really because I'm turning 30???

Is it what people say "time flies esp after 30"??

I choose not to dwell too much into that, but instead look forward to the new and unforeseen things that are coming ahead for me! 

You know, dwelling in negativity and pondering too much about things that aren't worth your time really tends to bring you down, so let's not ponder over nonsensical stuff and let's put our faith into the great unknown! 

Cheers to July and may everyone be blessed with great and wonderful happenings!

Yes, I'm her fan!

Ok I'm not sure if I'll lose any readers, but seriously I've always been a fan of Xiaxue! 

Her articles are honest and direct and if you don't like her,  it doesn't bother her!

I'm definitely a fan and seriously....  She's one day lucky lady to have such an adorable baby Dash!! 

Serious envy going on here.  Lol!

Seriously an amazing place that I myself am dreaming of getting a wedding shot there if I ever get married next time!!

YW cooks dinner!

After a good Badminton game, I decided to head back to cook a simple one dish meal dinner! 

With the many "soon-to-expire" ingredients, I really need to make good use of it. 

So what's in my fried rice??? 

Bacon and ham that expires in 2 days, chopped garlic that's expiring in a day,  sotong ball and Chinese sausages but no-no.. these are not expiring:) 

Cooked them with my awesome cooking buddies- soya sc, fish sc, preserved olives and hua tiao jiu and it ended up tasting awesome of course!! 

Not bragging ok...  Really nice!! Lol.

Managed to sell some old stuff even if it was just for a few bucks and also managed to purchase some cool stuff!

Souffle Japanese cheesecake

I love baking and recently joined some baking and cooking forums on FB. 

I tell you....  It's awesome there! 

Being able to learn and see the talents of so many people out there is amazing! 

You thought you knew it all?

Awesome! 

Anyway,  found a recipe there and tried it! 

Love how simple and tasty it is! 

When I say simple,  it's really simple! 

3 recipes is all you need! 

Ingredients:

125g cream cheese

120g white chocolate

3 eggs,  70g each

Method:

1. Line 7" round pan and grease sides with butter.

2. Separate eggs and put egg whites in fridge. 

This makes it better for meringue later. 

3. Break choco into pieces and melt in double boiler over water till smooth. 

4. Add in cream cheese and mix till smooth. 

5. Remove mixture from heat and cool for a minute. 

6. Mix in egg yolk and whisk. Do not cook egg yolks so take note to make sure mixture is not too hot. 

Whisk and put aside.  

7. Whisk egg whites till firm peaks. 

8. Once firm,  mix 1/3 of meringue into cheese mixture.  Then slowly mix in balance. 

9. Pour into baking pan

Steam bake for 15mins. After, turn down temperature to 160deg and continue baking for 15mins. After, turn off temperature and keep in oven for another 15mins.

Leave out to cool before removing from baking pan.  Chill cake for 2-3hours before consuming. You may also drizzle powdered sugar on top for deco.

Bath n BodyWorks Hand Sanitizers

Bought some B&B hand sanitizers over the weekend and am totally I love with the smells!

Just also wished they could be hand moisturizers instead of sanitizers as I need it more.  Hee 

But anyways, I got it at those "cube shops" and it was quite reasonable.  3 sanitizers for $10 and the holder was sold at $4. It's not as cheap as in the US where you can get it at $2 for Bath &  Body works but still good enuf!

And FYI, I'm gonna fill it up with moisturizers after the sanitizers finish!
